Plasma Hair Restoration

Hair thinning and loss are commonly linked to male and female pattern baldness, yet various factors contribute to these issues in both genders. Addressing hair loss when it first appears usually involves rejuvenating dormant hair follicles, which can be effectively done through plasma hair restoration procedures. Factors like genetic makeup, ageing, hormonal shifts, specific conditions like alopecia areata, and general health can influence hair loss, which may occur gradually or abruptly. Several treatments aim to enhance hair density on the scalp, improving the individual's self-esteem.

Restore Your Natural Hair

What is it?

When your Plasma is injected into the scalp, the platelets release large volumes of growth factors (GFs) which have a fundamental role as ‘biologic switches’ to positively manipulate hair growth. The GFs work as cellular controllers to stabilise hair loss, improve blood supply and nutrients to the area, rejuvenate dormant hair follicles, and increase hair density leading to an overall increase in hair number with reduced shedding.

Plasma Hair Restoration stands out as a biologically-based hair growth treatment, offering a less invasive option for restoring hair. This method involves several steps, starting with the extraction of the patient's blood, which is then processed and reinjected into the scalp, fostering the growth of new hair.

Plasma Hair Restoration

How Does it  Work?

Addressing hair loss at its initial stages is possible through Plasma Hair Restoration (PHR), which leverages plasma derived from the patient's blood.

This technique includes the following steps:

  • Drawing a sample of blood from the patient's arm.

  • Centrifuging the blood sample to enrich the plasma with platelets.

  • Administering the platelet-rich plasma directly into the scalp to energise hair follicles.

The process promotes the rejuvenation of tissues, activates dormant hair follicles, and enhances circulation, leading to the growth of denser and healthier hair.

 FAQs

  • It is a natural type of cosmetic injectable.

Plasma uses your own natural elements without the addition of any foreign products. We take your blood and spin it in a centrifuge, which enables the separation of the blood cells from your plasma and platelets. This is then re-injected into the treatment area to stimulate collagen and new skin cells.

  • Plasma treatment involves extracting a fraction of blood from the patient, typically through a syringe. The collected blood is then centrifuged to separate its components. The platelet-rich plasma is subsequently reinjected into the skin or administered through micro-needling.

  • While undergoing reinjection, patients may experience mild discomfort, often described as a burning or tingling sensation. This sensation typically subsides within minutes after the injection. We prioritise patient comfort during treatment by applying topical numbing cream and ice to alleviate any discomfort.

  • Individuals undergoing Plasma Hair Restoration therapy can anticipate a progressive enhancement in hair volume over several months. It's important to recognise that while this treatment does not serve as a definitive cure for hair loss, it offers a significant boost in hair density, helping to mitigate the signs of hair thinning.

  • Typically, achieving optimal results with treatment requires three to four sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart. However, it's essential to note that individual patient requirements may vary, potentially impacting the number and frequency of sessions needed.

  • Pain is a very subjective experience and each individual has a different pain threshold. At Aesthetic Avenue we aim to make you as comfortable as possible during your procedure. We utilise strong topical anaesthetic, ice, stress balls and distraction induced analgesia (vibration device).

  • This will vary from treatment to treatment and the number of areas we are addressing at one time. Procedure time can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

All appointments allow time for a consultation prior to treatment to discuss your concerns, devise a treatment plan and answer any questions.

At Aesthetic Avenue, you will never feel rushed.

  • Unfortunately we cannot treat anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent.

  • No, you cannot have any cosmetic injectables treatments. It is unethical to perform studies on pregnant or breastfeeding women - as such, there is no evidence to suggest it is safe for your babe. However, we can still undergo a consultation where we tailor a treatment plan for when you’re able to proceed.

  • We accept cash, card, ZipPay and Afterpay. There is a surcharge on some of these payment methods.

We also offer TLC payment plans from $2,000 to $50,000. Simply contact the clinic to discuss next steps!
